Officer Daniel Jacobsen has been serving the Seneca Falls community since October of 2012 when he was hired as a part-time police officer for the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department. He was appointed to his current position as a full-time officer in December of 2012. Officer Jacobsen also is employed as a part-time deputy sheriff for the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, a position he has held since July of 2013. He received his academy training at the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy. Prior to his entry into law enforcement, Officer Jacobsen served his country for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an infantry weapons specialist. He also served on the Marine Corps Rifle and Pistol Team and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. For his efforts in serving his country, he was awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal along with a Meritorious Mast for his actions in combat while serving in Iraq.
