Sergeant Craig Reynolds has been serving the Seneca Falls community since November of 2003 when he was hired as a police officer for the Village of Seneca Falls Police Department. He was promoted to the supervisory rank of sergeant in May of 2014. Sergeant Reynolds is currently certified as a Fire Arson Investigator and as a CPR/AED/ First Aid Instructor. Additionally, he is certified as a Field Training Officer for the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department. Sergeant Reynolds is a graduate of Cayuga Community College, having attained an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from there. Sergeant Reynolds received his academy training at the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy. Sergeant Reynolds also serves as one of the police department’s certified field training officers and is a certified Drug Recognition Expert for drivers suspected of operating a vehicle while under the influence of narcotics. Sergeant Reynolds has attained additional certification in Auto Crime and Fraud Training, Interview and Interrogation Training, Cause and Origin Determination (Fire) Training, Principles of Fire Investigation, Electrical Fire Cause Determination I Training, Fire Behavior and Arson Awareness, and Fire Scene Evidence Collection, Tactical Medical Care Provider Training, and Active Shooter Response Training. Sergeant Reynolds is also a four-time recipient of the Life Saving Award, given to a police officer that goes above and beyond the performance of his or her official duties in order to save an individual’s life. In addition to his responsibilities as a police officer, Sergeant Reynolds is a volunteer firefighter and chief of the Magee Fire Department. He was awarded the 2004 Seneca County Firefighter of the Year Award.
