On April 26th, 2014 at about 5:50 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Matthew R. Taylor, age 30, of 55 West Bayard Street, Seneca Falls for Criminal Trespass in the second degree which is a misdemeanor, and injuring an animal which is a Misdemeanor. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred at 2 Fall Street in the Town of Seneca Falls where Taylor was accused of punching and kicking a dog at a friend’s apartment. Taylor was asked to leave, however, he refused and continued to kick and punch the dog. The dog lost approximately six teeth during the incident, no other injuries were sustained. Officers got a warrant signed from the Town of Seneca Falls Court and executed it at Taylor’s home. While being taken into custody Taylor was physically and verbally aggressive with officers so the additional charge of Obstruction of governmental administration was filed with the court, which is also a misdemeanor. Taylor was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of honorable Judge Lafler. Judge Lafler committed Taylor to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500.00 cash or $5000.00 bail bond. Taylor was scheduled to re-appear in court on May 14th, 2014 at 9:00 am.
